The program will explore the role of the rehabilitation therapies in prevention of problems a person with Parkinson's may experience related to mobility changes and in management of problems. Topics addressed will include gait, balance, tasks for daily living and the role of exercise in managing Parkinson’s symptoms.

This presentation will provide coping strategies of living with a chronic disease. It will address the stages of grief, managing anxiety, visualization, mindfulness, deep breathing, and recognizing the signs of depression and the benefits of exercise in combatting depression. It will also discuss pharmacological options.
